حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُوصِي فِيهِ يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ عِنْدَهُ.

Ishaq told us, Malik informed me, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not right for any man who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without having his will written down with him."
