حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عُقْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِنْ خَشِيتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِرَكْعَةٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا مَثْنَى مَثْنَى قَالَ رَكْعَتَانِ رَكْعَتَانِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Bahz narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us: Uqbah informed me: I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The night prayer is two by two, and when you fear the approach of dawn, then pray witr with a single rak'ah. I said: What is meant by 'two by two'? He said: Two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs.
