Hasan, Abu al-Nadr, and Aswad ibn 'Amir told us, they said: Sharik told us, from Simak, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with them both, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade two transactions within a single transaction. Aswad said: Sharik said: Simak said: [That is,] a man sells something saying, "It is for such-and-such a price on credit, and it is for such-and-such a price in cash" [without settling on one].
