حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهَا أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سَكَنٍ قَالَتْ لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ صَاحَتْ أُمُّهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا يَرْفَأُ دَمْعُكِ وَيَذْهَبُ حُزْنُكِ فَإِنَّ ابْنَكِ أَوَّلُ مَنْ ضَحِكَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَاهْتَزَّ لَهُ الْعَرْشُ.

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Isma'il, meaning Ibn Abi Khalid, informed us, from Ishaq ibn Rashid, from a woman of the Ansar called Asma' bint Yazid ibn Sakan, who said: When Sa'd ibn Mu'adh died, his mother cried out. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Let your tears stop and your grief depart, for your son is the first person for whom Allah smiled and the Throne shook."
