حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ يَرْوِي عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ خَبَّابٍ قَالَ هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ لَمْ يَتْرُكْ إِلَّا نَمِرَةً إِذَا غَطَّوْا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ بَدَتْ رِجْلَاهُ وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رِجْلَهُ بَدَا رَأْسُهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَطُّوا رَأْسَهُ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ إِذْخِرًا قَالَ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَ الثِّمَارَ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah ibn Idris told us, he said: I heard al-A'mash narrating from Shaqiq, from Khabbab, he said: We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and among us were those who died without having eaten anything of their reward, among them Mus'ab ibn Umayr, who left nothing but a striped cloak; when we covered his head with it, his feet showed, and when we covered his feet, his head showed. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "Cover his head, and put idhkhir grass over his feet." He said: And among us were those whose fruit had ripened, and he is gathering it.
