Abu Mu'awiyah told us: Layth told us, from Ata', from Umm Salamah, who said: "I wore a necklace with strands of gold in it." She said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw it and turned away from me, and said, "What assures you that Allah will not put strands of fire around your neck in its place on the Day of Resurrection?" She said: So I took it off.
