حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ.

Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, who said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Rabi'ah, from al-Qasim, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The right of inheritance from a freed slave belongs to the one who frees him.
