حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْنُبُ فَيُوضَعُ لَهُ الْإِنَاءُ فِيهِ الْمَاءُ فَيُفْرِغُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ فَيَغْسِلُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَيُفْرِغُ بِهَا عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى فَيَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ يُمَضْمِضُ وَيَسْتَنْشِقُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَغْسِلُ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَغْرِفُ ثَلَاثَ غَرَفَاتٍ فَيَصُبُّهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ.

Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za'idah, from Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, who said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf narrated to me, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when in a state of major ritual impurity, would have a vessel with water placed for him; he would pour it over his hands and wash them before putting them into the water, then put his right hand into the vessel and pour water with it over his left hand and wash his private parts, then rinse his mouth and nose three times, and wash his face and forearms, then scoop three handfuls and pour them over his head, then bathe the rest of his body.
