الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Zubayri Muhammad ibn Abdullah told us: Isra'il told us, from Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Abu al-Bakhtari, from Salman, that he reached a fortress or a city and said to his companions: "Let me call them as I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) call them." He said: "I was but a man among you, and Allah guided me to Islam. If you accept Islam, then you have what we have and owe what we owe. If you refuse, then pay the jizyah while you are humbled. If you refuse that too, we will fight you on equal terms, for Allah does not love the treacherous." He did that with them for three days. When the fourth day came, the people advanced upon it and conquered it.
