حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ يُخْبِرُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ وَلَا بَوْلٍ وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا قَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ فَقَدِمْنَا الشَّامَ فَوَجَدْنَا مَرَاحِيضَ جُعِلَتْ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَنَنْحَرِفُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated from Abu Ayyub, who reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: he said, "Do not face the qiblah with feces or urine, but face east or west." Abu Ayyub said: Then we came to Syria and found latrines built facing the qiblah, so we would turn aside and ask Allah's forgiveness.
