الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, from Asim, from a man of the people of Mecca: that Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah was commander over the army in which Abu Ayyub campaigned. He came to visit him when he was dying, and Abu Ayyub said to him: When I die, convey my greetings to the people, and inform them that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever dies not associating anything with Allah, Allah will admit him into Paradise. And let them proceed with me, and take me as far as they can into the land of the Byzantines. So when Abu Ayyub died, the people put on their armor and set out with his bier.
