I heard it alone. Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Asim ibn Kulayb, from his father, from a man of the Ansar, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for the funeral of a man of the Ansar, and I was a boy with my father. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sat by the pit of the grave, and began instructing the digger, saying: Widen it from the direction of the head, and widen it from the direction of the feet — there is many a date-cluster of reward awaiting him in Paradise.
