الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ali ibn Asim narrated to us, Yazid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, who said: I was with Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman at al-Mada'in, and he asked for water to drink. A dihqan brought him a vessel, and he threw it at him, sparing no effort to strike his face with it. Then he said: Had I not warned him once or twice before, I would not have done this to him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us to drink from vessels of gold and silver, and to wear silk and brocade, and said: It is theirs in this world, and ours in the Hereafter. This is the last hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him.
