الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated to us by Khalaf ibn al-Walid, who narrated to us: Yahya ibn Zakariyya, who narrated to us: al-Ala' ibn al-Musayyab, from Amr ibn Murrah, from Talhah ibn Yazid al-Ansari, from Hudhayfah, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on a night of Ramadan, and he rose to pray. When he said the opening takbir, he said: "Allah is greatest, possessor of the dominion, the omnipotence, the pride, and the majesty." Then he recited al-Baqarah, then an-Nisa, then Al Imran, not passing by any verse containing a warning without pausing at it. Then he bowed, saying "Glory be to my Lord the Magnificent," for as long as he had stood. Then he raised his head and said, "Allah hears whoever praises Him; our Lord, to You is the praise," for as long as he had stood. Then he prostrated, saying "Glory be to my Lord the Most High," for as long as he had stood. Then he raised his head and said, "My Lord, forgive me," for as long as he had stood. Then he prostrated, saying "Glory be to my Lord the Most High," for as long as he had stood. Then he raised his head and stood up, and he prayed only two rak'ahs, until Bilal came and informed him of the time for the prayer.
