حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ فَأَقْبَلَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ إِنَّ أَشْبَهَ النَّاسِ هَدْيًا وَدَلًّا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ حِينِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ فَلَا أَدْرِي مَا يَصْنَعُ فِي أَهْلِهِ كَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمَ الْمَحْفُوظُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَقْرَبِهِمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَسِيلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated to us by Mu'awiyah ibn Amr, who said: It was narrated to us by Za'idah, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, who said: I was sitting with Hudhayfah when Abdullah ibn Mas'ud approached, and Hudhayfah said: "The most similar of people in conduct and manner to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from the time he leaves his house until he returns - though I do not know what he does among his family - is Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. By Allah, the well-remembering ones among the companions of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, have known that Abdullah is among the closest of them to Allah in standing on the Day of Resurrection."
