حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ أَوْصَانِي أَبِي رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ أُوصِيكَ أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنْ أَدْخَلَكَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى النَّارَ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَوَّلُ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى الْقَلَمُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ اكْتُبْ قَالَ وَمَا أَكْتُبُ قَالَ فَاكْتُبْ مَا يَكُونُ وَمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Musa ibn Dawud told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, that al-Walid ibn Ubadah ibn al-Samit said: My father, may Allah have mercy on him, advised me and said: "O my son, I advise you to believe in predestination, its good and its bad, for if you do not believe, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will make you enter the Fire." He said: And I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "The first thing Allah, Blessed and Exalted, created was the Pen. Then He said to it, 'Write.' It said, 'What shall I write?' He said, 'Write what is and what will be, until the Hour comes.'"
