حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قُلْتُ لِغَيْلَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَقَالَ بِرَأْسِهِ أَيْ نَعَمْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَوْمِهِ فَغَضِبَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيتُ أَوْ قَالَ رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا قَالَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ قَالَ وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا وَبِبَيْعَتِنَا بَيْعَةً قَالَ فَقَامَ عُمَرُ أَوْ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَامَ الْأَبَدَ قَالَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ أَوْ مَا صَامَ وَمَا أَفْطَرَ قَالَ صَوْمُ يَوْمَيْنِ وَإِفْطَارُ يَوْمٍ قَالَ وَمَنْ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ إِفْطَارُ يَوْمَيْنِ وَصَوْمُ يَوْمٍ قَالَ لَيْتَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَوَّانَا لِذَلِكَ قَالَ صَوْمُ يَوْمٍ وَإِفْطَارُ يَوْمٍ قَالَ ذَاكَ صَوْمُ أَخِي دَاوُدَ قَالَ صَوْمُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ قَالَ ذَاكَ يَوْمٌ وُلِدْتُ فِيهِ وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِيهِ قَالَ صَوْمُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَرَمَضَانَ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِفْطَارُهُ قَالَ صَوْمُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ وَالْبَاقِيَةَ قَالَ صَوْمُ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ قَالَ يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, Ghaylan ibn Jarir narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Ma'bad al-Zimmani, from Abu Qatadah. Shu'bah said: I said to Ghaylan: 'The Ansari?' He nodded his head, meaning yes. A man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about his fasting, and he became angry. 'Umar said: 'We are content - or we are satisfied - with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion.' He said: And I only know that he also said: 'And with Muhammad as our Messenger, and with our pledge of allegiance as a pledge.' Then 'Umar or another man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about a man who fasts perpetually?' He said: 'He neither fasted nor broke his fast - or he has not fasted and has not broken his fast.' He said: 'Fasting two days and breaking one day?' He said: 'And who can endure that?' He said: 'Breaking two days and fasting one day?' He said: 'Would that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, had given us strength for that.' He said: 'Fasting one day and breaking one day?' He said: 'That is the fast of my brother Dawud.' He said: 'Fasting Monday and Thursday?' He said: 'That is a day I was born on and revelation was sent down upon me in it.' He said: 'Fasting three days of every month and Ramadan to Ramadan, that is fasting the entire year.'
