Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, from Mu'awiyah ibn Salih, from al-Safr ibn Nusayr, from Yazid ibn Shurayh, that he heard Abu Umamah narrate that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should come to prayer while needing to relieve himself, and let him not single himself out with anything apart from his companions, and let him not look into a house with his eyes until he asks permission." An elder said, when Yazid narrated it to him, "Yazid informed us: I heard Abu Umamah narrate this hadith."
