حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْجَعْدِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَاصٍّ يَقُصُّ فَأَمْسَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُصَّ فَلَأَنْ أَقْعُدَ غُدْوَةً إِلَى أَنْ تُشْرِقَ الشَّمْسُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَ رِقَابٍ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَ رِقَابٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad told us, Shu'bah told us, from Abu al-Tayyah, who said: I heard Abu al-Ja'd narrating, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out upon a storyteller who was telling stories, so he stopped. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Carry on with your story; for that I sit from early morning until the sun shines forth is dearer to me than to free four slaves, and after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets is dearer to me than to free four slaves."
