حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ يَقُولُ فُقِدَتْ آيَةٌ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْأَحْزَابِ حِينَ نَسَخْنَا الْمَصَاحِفَ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ بِهَا { رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ } فَالْتَمَسْتُهَا فَوَجَدْتُهَا مَعَ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فَأَلْحَقْتُهَا فِي سُورَتِهَا فِي الْمُصْحَفِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Kamil told us: Ibrahim told us: Ibn Shihab told us: Kharijah ibn Zayd told me that he heard Zayd ibn Thabit say: 'A verse from Surat al-Ahzab was missing when we copied the mushafs. I used to hear the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recite it: "Men who have been true to what they pledged to Allah." So I searched for it and found it with Khuzaymah ibn Thabit, and I appended it to its surah in the mushaf.'
