Affan told us: Hammam told us: Qatadah told us, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Asma', that he entered upon Abu Dharr while he was at al-Rabadhah, and with him was a wife of his - a black woman, thin and hungry-looking, with no trace of fine ointments or perfume upon her. Abu Dharr said: Do you not see what this little black woman commands me? She commands me to go to Iraq; and if I go to Iraq, they will crowd around me with their worldly goods. But my close friend, peace and blessings be upon him, charged me that before the bridge over Hell there is a slippery, treacherous path, and we shall come upon it - and Matar also narrated the hadith in full, one of the two narrators saying that we come upon it while our loads are light, and the other saying while our loads are heavy - it being more likely that we would be saved by coming upon it lightly laden rather than heavily burdened.
