Bahz told us: Shu'bah told us: Anas ibn Sirin told me, from Abd al-Malik, a man from Banu Qays ibn Tha'labah, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command them to fast the white days, and he would say: "They are the fasting of the month" - or he said "of a lifetime."
