حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَجَعَلْنَا لَا نَصْعَدُ شَرَفًا وَلَا نَعْلُو شَرَفًا وَلَا نَهْبِطُ فِي وَادٍ إِلَّا رَفَعْنَا أَصْوَاتَنَا بِالتَّكْبِيرِ قَالَ فَدَنَا مِنَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ارْبَعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلَا غَائِبًا إِنَّمَا تَدْعُونَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا إِنَّ الَّذِي تَدْعُونَ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى أَحَدِكُمْ مِنْ عُنُقِ رَاحِلَتِهِ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَةً مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Wahhab b. Abd al-Majid al-Thaqafi, Abu Muhammad, told us: Khalid al-Hadhdha' told us, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a military expedition, and we would not climb a height or ascend a hill or descend into a valley without raising our voices in takbir. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drew near to us and said, "O people, be gentle with yourselves, for you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent; you are calling upon One who is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. The One you are calling upon is nearer to one of you than the neck of his riding beast. O Abdullah b. Qays, shall I not teach you a phrase from the treasures of Paradise? There is no power and no strength except through Allah."
