Isma’il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: Ayyub informed us, from Abd Allah ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: Ubayd ibn Abi Maryam narrated to me, from Uqbah ibn al-Harith, who said — and I also heard it from Uqbah himself, but I remember Ubayd’s account better — he said: I married a woman, and a black woman came to us and said, "I have suckled both of you." So I went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "I married so-and-so, the daughter of so-and-so, and a black woman came to us and said, ‘I have suckled both of you,’ and she is lying." He turned away from me. So I came to him from the front and said, "She is lying." He said, "How can you (remain with her) when she has claimed that she suckled you both? Leave her."
