Abu al-Nadr told us, al-Mas'udi told us from al-Rukayn b. al-Rabi' from his father from Khurayim b. Fatik, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Deeds are of six kinds, and people are of four kinds: two are decisive, one is like for like, a good deed counts as ten times its like, and a good deed counts as seven hundred. As for the two decisive ones: whoever dies not associating anything with Allah enters Paradise, and whoever dies associating something with Allah enters the Fire. As for like for like: whoever intends a good deed until his heart becomes aware of it and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, knows that of him, it is recorded for him as a good deed; and whoever does an evil deed, it is recorded against him as an evil deed. And whoever does a good deed, it is recorded for him as ten times its like; and whoever spends something in the way of Allah, a good deed counts as seven hundred. And people are of four kinds: one for whom things are made easy in this world [but] constrained for him in the Hereafter; one for whom things are made easy in the Hereafter [but] constrained for him in this world; one for whom things are made easy in this world and the Hereafter; and one for whom things are constrained in this world and the Hereafter."
