حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّ الْمُسْتَوْرِدَ قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا عِنْدَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ الرُّومُ وَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَتُهُمْ مَعَ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمْرٌو أَلَمْ أَزْجُرْكَ عَنْ مِثْلِ هَذَا.

Hasan ibn Musa told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, al-Harith ibn Yazid told us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, that al-Mustawrid said: While I was with Amr ibn al-As, I said to him, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'The most severe of people against you will be the Romans, and their destruction will be along with the Hour.'" Amr said to him, "Did I not warn you against saying the like of this?"
