حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدَنِيُّ أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبِي أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي خِرَاشٍ السُّلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً فَهُوَ كَسَفْكِ دَمِهِ.

Abdullah ibn Yazid told us, he said: Haywah ibn Shurayh told us, Abu Uthman al-Walid ibn Abi al-Walid al-Madani told us, that Imran ibn Abi Anas told him, from Abu Khirash al-Sulami, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever forsakes his brother for a year is like one who has shed his blood."
