الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ya'qub told us; my father told us, from Salih, and Ibn Shihab related that Abd al-Rahman ibn Malik informed him that his father informed him that Suraqa ibn Ju'shum came in to see the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during the illness in which he died. He said: "I kept asking the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, until I could not remember what I was asking him about." He said: "Mention it." He said: Among what I asked him about was that I said: "O Messenger of Allah, stray animals come to my watering troughs, which I have filled with water for my camels — is there a reward for me if I water them?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes, in giving drink to every living creature with a moist liver there is a reward from Allah, Mighty and Sublime."
