حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ أَخْبَرَنِي أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ زَوَى لِي الْأَرْضَ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ مَشَارِقَهَا وَمَغَارِبَهَا وَإِنَّ مُلْكَ أُمَّتِي سَيَبْلُغُ مَا زُوِيَ لِي مِنْهَا وَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُ الْكَنْزَيْنِ الْأَبْيَضَ وَالْأَحْمَرَ وَإِنِّي سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يُهْلِكُ أُمَّتِي بِسَنَةٍ بِعَامَّةٍ وَأَنْ لَا يُسَلِّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوًّا فَيُهْلِكَهُمْ بِعَامَّةٍ وَأَنْ لَا يُلْبِسَهُمْ شِيَعًا وَلَا يُذِيقَ بَعْضَهُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ وَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي إِذَا قَضَيْتُ قَضَاءً فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُرَدُّ وَإِنِّي قَدْ أَعْطَيْتُكَ لِأُمَّتِكَ أَنْ لَا أُهْلِكَهُمْ بِسَنَةٍ بِعَامَّةٍ وَلَا أُسَلِّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوًّا مِمَّنْ سِوَاهُمْ فَيُهْلِكُوهُمْ بِعَامَّةٍ حَتَّى يَكُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُهْلِكُ بَعْضًا وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضًا وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَسْبِي بَعْضًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar said: Ayyub informed me, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani, from Abu Asma' al-Rahabi, from Shaddad ibn Aws, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah, Mighty and Sublime, gathered up the earth for me, so that I saw its easts and its wests, and the dominion of my nation will reach as far as was gathered up for me of it. And I have been given the two treasures, the white and the red. And I asked my Lord, Mighty and Sublime, that He not destroy my nation by a widespread famine, and that He not give power over them to an enemy who would exterminate them altogether, and that He not clothe them in factions, nor let some of them taste the violence of others. And He said: O Muhammad, when I decree a matter, it is not turned back; and I have granted you for your nation that I will not destroy them by a widespread famine, nor give power over them to an enemy other than themselves who would exterminate them altogether, until some of them destroy others, and some of them kill others, and some of them take others captive.
