حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّةَ وَاقْتُلُوا ذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالْأَبْتَرَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَلْتَمِعَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَيَسْتَسْقِطَانِ الْحَبَلَ قَالَ فَكُنْتُ لَا أَرَى حَيَّةً إِلَّا قَتَلْتُهَا قَالَ لِي أَبُو لُبَابَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ أَلَا تَفْتَحُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ خَوْخَةٌ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَقُمْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ فَفَتَحْنَاهَا فَخَرَجَتْ حَيَّةٌ فَعَدَوْتُ عَلَيْهَا لِأَقْتُلَهَا فَقَالَ لِي مَهْلًا فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِنَّ قَالَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ ذَوَاتِ الْبُيُوتِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid told us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say upon the pulpit: "Kill the snake, and kill the one with two white stripes and the short-tailed one, for they take away the eyesight and cause miscarriage." He said: So I would not see a snake without killing it. Abu Lubabah ibn Abd al-Mundhir said to me: "Will you not open a small door between me and you?" I said, "Yes." He said: So he and I got up and opened it, and a snake came out, and I rushed at it to kill it, but he said to me, "Wait." I said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered that they be killed." He said: "He has [since] forbidden killing those that live in houses."
