حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَزَّاقِ وَرَوْحٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا الطَّوَافُ صَلَاةٌ فَإِذَا طُفْتُمْ فَأَقِلُّوا الْكَلَامَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ.

Abd al-Razzaq and Rawh told us, they said: Ibn Jurayj told us: Hasan ibn Muslim informed me, from Tawus, from a man who had met the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The circumambulation is indeed a prayer, so when you circumambulate, speak little." And Muhammad ibn Bakr did not attribute it directly to the Prophet.
