حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ بَصَرَ عَيْنِي وَسَمِعَ أُذُنِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ وَفِي ثَوْبِ بِلَالٍ فِضَّةٌ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْبِضُهَا لِلنَّاسِ يُعْطِيهِمْ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ اعْدِلْ قَالَ وَيْلَكَ وَمَنْ يَعْدِلُ إِذَا لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْدِلُ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ دَعْنِي أَقْتُلْ هَذَا الْمُنَافِقَ الْخَبِيثَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ أَنِّي أَقْتُلُ أَصْحَابِي إِنَّ هَذَا وَأَصْحَابَهُ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنْ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ali ibn Ayyash told us, Isma'il ibn Ayyash told us, Yahya ibn Sa'id told me, Abu al-Zubayr informed me, who said: I heard Jabir say: "My eye saw and my ear heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at al-Ji'ranah, with silver in Bilal's garment, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was taking handfuls of it to give to the people. A man said: 'Be just!' He said: 'Woe to you! Who would be just if I were not just?' Umar ibn al-Khattab said: 'O Messenger of Allah, let me kill this vile hypocrite.' The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'God forbid that people should say I kill my companions! This man and his companions recite the Qur'an, but it does not pass beyond their collarbones; they will pass out of the religion as an arrow passes through its prey.'"
