حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ إِبْلِيسَ يَضَعُ عَرْشَهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ سَرَايَاهُ فَأَدْنَاهُمْ مِنْهُ مَنْزِلَةً أَعْظَمُهُمْ فِتْنَةً يَجِيءُ أَحَدُهُمْ فَيَقُولُ فَعَلْتُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيَقُولُ مَا صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا قَالَ وَيَجِيءُ أَحَدُهُمْ فَيَقُولُ مَا تَرَكْتُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّقْتُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَهْلِهِ قَالَ فَيُدْنِيهِ مِنْهُ أَوْ قَالَ فَيَلْتَزِمُهُ وَيَقُولُ نِعْمَ أَنْتَ قَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ مَرَّةً فَيُدْنِيهِ مِنْهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Mu'awiyah told us: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed Iblis sets his throne upon the water, then sends out his troops. The closest of them to him in rank is the one who causes the greatest turmoil. One of them comes and says, 'I did such and such,' and he says, 'You have not done anything.' Another comes and says, 'I did not leave him until I separated him from his wife,' so he draws him near, or he said, he embraces him and says, 'You are excellent.'" Abu Mu'awiyah said once: "he draws him near."
