حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ فَذَكَرَ يَعْنِي ذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمِهِ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لَأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا.

Abu al-Nadr told us, Muhammad ibn Talhah told us, Humayd told us, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A morning journey in the way of God, or an evening journey..." then he mentioned — meaning he mentioned the hadith of Sulayman ibn Dawud. Sulayman ibn Dawud told us, Isma'il — meaning Ibn Ja'far — told us, who said: Humayd told me, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A morning journey in the way of God, or an evening journey, is better than the world and all that is in it. And the space of one of your bows, or the place of a foot, in Paradise is better than the world and all that is in it. And if a woman among the women of the people of Paradise were to look down upon the earth, she would illuminate what is between them and fill what is between them with fragrance, and her headscarf alone would be better than the world and all that is in it."
