Mu'ammal told us: Hammad - that is, Ibn Salama - told us: Ali ibn Zayd told us, who said: Something reached Mus'ab ibn al-Zubayr about the representative of the Ansar, and he was concerned about it, intending to act against him. So Anas ibn Malik came to him and said to him, 'I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Treat the Ansar well,"' or he said, '"kindly - accept from those who do good among them and overlook those who do wrong among them."' So Mus'ab threw himself down from his couch and pressed his cheek to the carpet and said, 'The command of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, is upon my head and eyes,' and so he left the man alone.
