815/1063(صحيح الإسناد)عن عطاء قال: سألت ابن عباس، فقلت: أستأذن على أختي؟ فقال:"نعم". فأعدتُ، فقلتُ: أختان في حجري، وأنا أمونُهُما، وأنفق عليهما، أستأذن عليهما؟ قال:"نعم، أتحب أن تراهما عريانتين؟! ثم قرأ:?يا أيها الذين آمنوا ليستئذنكم الذين ملكت أيمانكم…? إلى:? ثلاث عورات لكم?[النور: 58]قال: فلم يؤمر هؤلاء بالإذن إلا في هذه العورات الثلاث". قال:? وإذا بلغ الأطفال منكم الحلم?[النور: 59]، قال ابن عباس:"فالإذن واجب،[على الناس كلهم]".

Ata' said: I asked Ibn Abbas: 'Should I seek permission to enter upon my sister?' He said: 'Yes.' I repeated: 'I have two sisters in my care; I provide for them and spend on them. Should I seek permission?' He said: 'Yes. Would you like to see them naked?' Then he recited: 'O you who believe! Let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not yet reached puberty ask your permission...' to '...three times of privacy for you' [24:58]. He said: 'These were not commanded to seek permission except at these three times.' He said: 'And when the children among you reach puberty' [24:59] — Ibn Abbas said: 'Then permission is obligatory [for everyone].'
