440/564 عن عروة قال: كنت جالساً عند معاوية، فحدّث نفسه، ثم انتبه، فقال:"لا حلم إلا تجربة" يعيدها ثلاثاً.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah reported from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said, 'The example of a believer is like a fresh, tender plant. The wind tilts it from side to side. Similarly, the believer is constantly afflicted with trials. The example of a hypocrite is like a firm cedar tree — it does not shake until it is uprooted in one blow.'
الترجمة الأردية
عروہ سے مروی ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ میں سیدنا معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا کوئی بات ان کے دل میں آئی تو وہ چونکے اور کہا: دانائی تجربہ سے آتی ہے، انہوں نے یہ تین بار فرمایا۔[صحيح الادب المفرد/حدیث: 440]
