حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ التَّلْبِيَةَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَالنَّاسُ يَزِيدُونَ " ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ " . وَنَحْوَهُ مِنَ الْكَلاَمِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْمَعُ فَلاَ يَقُولُ لَهُمْ شَيْئًا .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commenced the ihram. He then mentioned the talbiyah as in the narration of Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both), and said: The people used to add (words of praise for Allah) such as 'Dhal Ma'arij' (the Possessor of the Ways of Ascent) and similar expressions, while the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would hear them but would not say anything to them (i.e. he did not forbid them).
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے احرام باندھا — پھر انہوں نے تلبیہ کا ویسا ہی ذکر کیا جیسا حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کی حدیث میں ہے — اور فرمایا: لوگ (اپنی طرف سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی تعریف میں) «ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ» (بلند درجات والا) اور اس جیسے کلمات بڑھاتے تھے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سنتے تھے لیکن ان سے کچھ نہ فرماتے تھے (یعنی منع نہ فرمایا)۔
