حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلاَّ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would not raise his hands in any supplication except for istisqa (the prayer for rain). He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کسی بھی دعا میں ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے سوائے استسقاء (بارش کی دعا) کے — آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہاتھ اتنے اونچے اٹھاتے کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بغلوں کی سفیدی نظر آتی۔
