Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10128 حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ثنا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ فَظَنَّ عَبْدُ اللهِ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مَوْجِدَةٍ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُنْتُ أُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي فَتُرَدُّ عَلَيَّ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْكَ فَلَمْ تُرَدَّ عَلَيَّ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مَوْجِدَةٍ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنَّا نُهِينَا عَنِ الْكَلَامِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا بِالْقُرْآنِ وَالذِّكْرِ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abdullah used to greet the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while he was praying, and he would return the greeting. Then 'Abdullah greeted him while he was praying and he did not respond. 'Abdullah thought that this was out of displeasure from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When he finished, he said: "O Messenger of Allah, I used to greet you while you were praying and you would respond. But I greeted you and you did not respond, and I thought it was from displeasure toward me." He said: "No, but we have been forbidden from speaking during prayer except with Quran and remembrance of Allah."
