Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9500 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخَّرَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ الصَّلَاةَ فَأَمَرَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَثَوَّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ الْوَلِيدُ مَا صَنَعْتَ؟ أَجَاءَكَ مِنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَدَثٌ أَمِ ابْتَدَعْتَ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ «كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرِ اللهُ عَلَيْنَا وَرَسُولُهُ ﷺ أَنْ نَنْتَظِرَكَ بِصَلَاتِنَا وَأَنْتَ فِي حَاجَتِكَ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Walid ibn Uqbah delayed the prayer, so Ibn Mas'ud ordered the muezzin to give the call and then went forward and led the people in prayer. Al-Walid sent word to him: 'What have you done? Did news come to you from the Commander of the Faithful, or have you innovated?' Ibn Mas'ud said: 'Neither happened. Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) did not command us to wait for you for our prayer while you attend to your needs.'
