Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9378 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا وَلَا تَسْبِقُوهُ إِذَا رَكَعَ وَلَا إِذَا رَفَعَ وَلَا إِذَا سَجَدَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِنَّمَا بِكُمْ أَنْ تُدْرِكُوا مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْجُدُ قَبْلَكُمْ وَيَرْفَعُ قَبْلَكُمْ فَتُدْرِكُوا ذَلِكَ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) said: 'The imam was only appointed to be followed. When he bows, bow; and when he raises, raise. Do not precede him in bowing, or in raising, or in prostrating. If your concern is that you might catch what he has preceded you in, then he prostrates before you and raises before you, so you will catch up with that.'
