Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:896 حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَسْعَدَ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ أَصَابَهُ وَجَعٌ يُسَمِّيهِ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ الذُّبْحَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَأُبْلِيَنَّ أَوْ لَأَبْلُغَنَّ فِي أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عُذْرًا» قَالَ فَكَوَاهُ بِيَدِهِ فَمَاتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنِيَّةُ سُوءٍ لِلْيَهُودِ تَقُولُ أَلَا رُفِعَ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِ وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَهُ وَلَا لِنَفْسِي مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Umamah [As'ad ibn Zurarah] was afflicted with an illness that the people of Madinah called "the throat ailment." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I shall certainly try my utmost for Abu Umamah." He then cauterized him with his own hand, but he died. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A bad death — so the Jews may say, 'Could he not have warded it off from his companion?' But I possess nothing for him or for myself from Allah."
