Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8828 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَهْشَلٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَضَلَ عُمَرُ النَّاسَ بِأَرْبَعٍ بِذِكْرِهِ الْأُسَارَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ} وَبِذْكِرِهِ الْحِجَابَ فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَغَارُ مِنَّا وَالْوَحْيُ يَنْزِلُ فِي بُيُوتِنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ} وَدَعْوَةِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ أَيِّدِ الْإِسْلَامَ بِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ» ؓ وَبِرَأْيِهِ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ بَايَعَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah said: Umar excelled the people in four things: his mention of the prisoners on the day of Badr, when he ordered their execution, and Allah the Almighty revealed: 'Were it not for a prior decree from Allah, a great punishment would have touched you for what you took.' His mention of the veil (hijab), when Zaynab said: 'You are jealous regarding us while revelation descends in our houses!' So Allah revealed: 'When you ask them for something, ask them from behind a screen.' The supplication of the Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him: 'O Allah, strengthen Islam with Umar ibn al-Khattab.' And his opinion regarding Abu Bakr - he was the first to pledge allegiance to him.
