Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:647 حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيُّ ﷺ وُلِدَ لِي مِنْ بِنْتِ جَمْدِ بْنِ وَلِيعَةَ الْكِنْدِيِّ وَدِدْتُ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا بِهِ قَصْعَةُ ثَرِيدٍ فَقَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّ الْأَوْلَادَ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Ash'ath ibn Qays said: I said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "A child was born to me from the daughter of Jamd ibn Wali'ah al-Kindi. I wish we had a bowl of tharid instead of him." The Prophet said: "Do not say that, for indeed children are a cause of miserliness, cowardice, and grief. But they are the fruit of the heart."
