Sabrah ibn Ma'bad said: "We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the Year of the Conquest, and we stayed at Makkah fifteen days. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) permitted us to marry women in mut'ah. So I went out with a man from my people, and I was more handsome than him. We went to a woman of the Quraysh and offered ourselves. She looked at us and my companion seemed closer to being ugly. She said: 'What can this one give me?' His companion said: 'His cloak.' She said: 'What can this one give me?' His companion said: 'His cloak.' My companion's cloak was newer while mine was worn. She said: 'This one and his cloak are fine.' So I stayed with her three nights, then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever has any of these women in mut'ah, let him release her.'"
