Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6369a حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ فِي سَفَرٍ فَعَطَسَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَالِمُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمِّكَ لَعَلَّكَ وَجَدْتَ عَلَيَّ فِي نَفْسِكَ شَيْئًا مِمَّا قُلْتُ لَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمِّكَ؟ قَالَ وَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ لَمْ تَذْكُرْ أُمِّي بِخَيْرٍ وَلَا بِشَرٍّ عِنْدَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّمَا قُلْتُ لَكَ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَطَسَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمِّكَ» وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ وَلْيَقُلْ لَهُ أَخُوهُ أَوْ صَاحِبُهُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ وَيَقُولُ يَغْفِرُ اللهُ لَنَا وَلَكُمْ
انگریزی ترجمہ
A man said: "We were traveling with Salim ibn 'Ubayd when a man sneezed and said: 'Peace be upon you.' Salim said to him: 'Upon you and upon your mother!' Perhaps you felt something in yourself from what I said to you — 'upon you and upon your mother'?' He said: 'I wish you had not mentioned my mother at all among the people — neither for good nor for bad.' Salim said: 'I only said to you what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said. A man sneezed and said: "Peace be upon you." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Upon you and upon your mother!" Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you sneezes, let him say: Praise be to Allah in every condition. And let his brother or companion say: May Allah have mercy on you. And let him say: May Allah forgive us and you."'"
