Salamah ibn al-Akwa' said: "I went out before the adhan of Fajr and the camels of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) were grazing at Dhu al-Qarad. 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf's servant met me and said: 'The camels of the Messenger of Allah have been taken!' I shouted three times: 'O morning raid!' making my voice reach from the two stony plains of Madinah. Then I set out running in pursuit of them, shooting arrows at them and saying: 'I am the son of al-Akwa'! Today is the day of the low ones!' I kept pursuing them until I recovered every camel they had taken, and I took thirty cloaks from them."
