Sa'id ibn Wahb said: I entered upon 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, and among us was a man with signs of illness. 'Ali said: "Do you want me to tell you about a supplication the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) taught me? If it were upon a mountain, it would dissolve it by Allah's permission." He said: "O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and what they shade, Lord of the seven earths and what they carry, Lord of the devils and those they misguide — be a protector for me against the evil of all Your creation."
