Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12330 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا صَوْمُ شَهْرٍ أَفَأَقْضِيهِ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ «لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكَ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ عَنْهَا؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَدَيْنُ اللهِ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُقْضَى» قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ وَنَحْنُ جَمِيعًا جُلُوسٌ حِينَ حَدَّثَ مُسْلِمٌ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ سَمِعْنَا مُجَاهِدًا يَذْكُرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Abbas narrated: A man came to the Prophet ♂ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, my mother died and she had the obligation to fast a month. Shall I fulfill it on her behalf?" He said: "If your mother had a debt, would you pay it for her?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then the debt owed to Allah is more deserving of being fulfilled." Sulayman (al-A'mash) said: Al-Hakam and Salamah ibn Kuhayl said - and we were all sitting together when Muslim (al-Batin) narrated this hadith - "We heard Mujahid mentioning this hadith from Ibn Abbas."
